Madison Mendoza

I was born and raised in the USA. Due to my great grandmother, I am Puerto Rican. She was born and raised there all her life before coming to the USA.

I am a middle school student. I am an honor roll student and I take lyrical dance as an extracurricular activity. I recently just auditioned and got selected to be a part of their company.

I believe that Greta’s work will have a big impact on people. I know what Greta is trying to achieve will be great and I want to be a part of that.

I chose the poem I Only Have Time To Love because when I read the poem, it made me think of self love, neglecting negativity, and the ability to heal yourself rather than relying on others to do it for you. In my work, I drew and painted the heart along with the flowers. The heart represent love while the flowers represent growth and life.

How Greta Met Madison:

Greta befriended Elizabeth, a manager at Greta’s apartment’s health club. They discussed Greta’s project and Elizabeth highly recommended her niece, Madison, as an artist to participate in the project. After meeting Greta, Madison was very excited to contribute a piece. Madison and Greta continue to remain in touch and text each other. Greta is deeply impressed by Madison’s incredibly loving and respectful nature.
